Our Story

Commercial Drone Guide was founded by a working FAA Part 107 operator with years of real-world experience serving the AEC industry across Florida. After years of flying photogrammetry missions, roof inspections, virtual walkthroughs, and digital twin projects for general contractors and developers, the gap in quality drone content became impossible to ignore.

The vast majority of drone review sites and guides are written by generalist content creators who have never set foot on a commercial job site. Their gear recommendations ignore real-world field conditions. Their software comparisons miss the details that actually matter on a deadline. Their regulatory guidance is incomplete or outdated.

We started Commercial Drone Guide to be the resource we always wished existed. Every article is grounded in genuine operational experience — the kind that only comes from actually doing this work professionally.

What We Cover

Our focus is exclusively on commercial UAV operations — professional applications across construction, roofing, inspection, surveying, real estate, insurance, and infrastructure. We don't cover racing drones or hobbyist photography. Everything here is relevant to operators who fly for a living or businesses evaluating drone technology for professional use.
